OUR ANIMALS Alpacas: We currently have about 28 alpacas ( Huacayas and Suris ) with both pet quality and breeding stock available in a variety of colors to choose from. These animals are a wonderful investment, they can possibly double their value in just a year. Once used for Inca royalty in the Andes Mountains of South America, they now number about 50,000 in the U.S. Shetland Sheep: Originally from the Shetland Islands, north of Great Britain, Shetland Sheep are a rare breed of sheep which are on the small side. Their wool is known for it's softness. This is a small breed with ewes weighing less than 100 pounds. Icelandic Sheep: Originating from Iceland, their wool is double coated with a soft undercoat. Their meat is very mild and is much sought after throughout the world. Norwegian Fjord Horses: This breed of horse is originally from Norway where they are used as the main working horse on the farms and for pulling carts. Llamas: Pintado and Paco are 1/2 brothers. Cousins to the alpacas, llamas are also from the Andes Mountains. Dexter Cattle: A small breed of cattle from Ireland, the Dexter is easy to handle and can be used for meat, oxen or dairy production.
